Nigel Vale (Palleva Stud)

Nigel Vale is one of the respected British breeders and judges specialising in Shetland Ponies and the Traditional Gypsy Cob breed. He is the founder of the well-known Palleva Stud, which has long been associated with quality breeding and the successful presentation of show horses. Thanks to his many years of experience in breeding and showing, he has an excellent eye for assessing type, correct conformation and movement.

He is a judge on the panel of the Shetland Pony Stud-Book Society (SPSBS), the highest authority for purebred Shetland Pony breeding in the world. He is also a recognised judge on the panel of the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (TGCA), where he judges the highest-quality representatives of the breed.

During his judging career, he has judged numerous significant national and international shows in the United Kingdom and abroad. In his work, he places emphasis on preserving breed type, harmony of conformation, quality of movement and the horse's overall presentation. He is valued by exhibitors for his professional approach, objectivity and extensive practical experience gained through many years of breeding.
