Corinna Seipp (Darklake Stud)
Corinna Seipp is a renowned breeder and experienced international judge of Shetland Ponies, based at the English Darklake Stud in Devon. She has been involved in breeding, showing and promoting Shetland Ponies for many years and is one of the prominent figures in the British breeding community. She is an official judge on the panel of the Shetland Pony Stud-Book Society (SPS-BS) and applies her experience when judging shows in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Her expertise and standing within the breed are also demonstrated by the fact that she currently serves as President of the Shetland Pony Stud-Book Society, the organisation that maintains the original stud book for Shetland Ponies and oversees the preservation of the standard of this traditional British breed. Corinna has also been involved in the professional evaluation of ponies as part of the Shetland Pony Evaluation Scheme, where she served as a member of the judging panel.
During her judging career, she has judged a number of important breeding shows, including the Viking Shetland Pony Show, where she judged the miniature Shetland Pony section. In 2024, she also judged the Shetland Pony showcase at the prestigious Mountain & Moorland Ponies sale in northern England.
In her judging, she draws on her many years of practical experience from her own breeding programme and places emphasis on correct breed type, correct conformation, quality of movement and the overall harmony of the pony. We are therefore very honoured to welcome Corinna Seipp of Darklake Stud as a judge at our international show.
